Wood Products Industry – Essential Critical Infrastructure
On March 19, 2020, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a division of U.S. Department of Homeland Security, issued an advisory outlining their recommendations on who should be classified as essential critical infrastructure workers during the Covid-19 response.
They outlined various industries deemed to be essential services including Healthcare. Law Enforcement, Energy, Transportation, Public Works, and more. Each category included a detailed explanation of who might be considered critical workers in each area.
Under the heading of Food and Agriculture, they listed workers and businesses that support food, feed, and beverage distribution, the manufacture of equipment necessary to agricultural production and distribution, and the manufacture and distribution of forest products and wood products.
IBC is proud to support our customers in the food, beverage, and wood products industries and we will continue to operate for as long as reasonably possible with the health and safety of our employees, suppliers, and customers in mind.
