Windows 7/Server 2008 End of Life

To all of our valued Windward Customers with Windows 7/Server 2008, this is to advise you that Microsoft is ending support for these products.

Support is ending for several Microsoft products, including:

  • SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2 on 9 July 2019
  • Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 on 14 January 2020
  • Windows 7 on 14 January 2020
  • Exchange Server 2010 on 13 October 2020

This does not mean that your PC will suddenly stop working. The most significant impact is that the unsupported operating system will be more vulnerable to viruses and security issues. People who continue to use the outdated system will become targets for malicious users.
